UVA Hiring Statewide: Local Discipline-Relevant Work Opportunities for Students

The Virginia Literacy Partnerships (VLP) team at the University of Virginia will be piloting a revised Pre-K-Grade 3 literacy assessment and conducting reading intervention research throughout Virginia in the 2022-23 school year. We are currently recruiting in your region for a variety of positions to assist with project activities throughout the fall and spring semesters.

Positions include data collectors (English-speaking and Bilingual-Spanish) to conduct child assessments for the literacy screener pilot and English-speaking interventionists to deliver reading instruction for the intervention pilot. These roles provide an excellent opportunity for students to gain field experience—particularly those studying in the areas of education, psychology, and Spanish. They also offer students flexible hours, competitive pay, and take place in participating schools in your area.
